Katie Wolfe

San Carlos, CA

Originally from San Carlos, CA, Katie Wolfe trained locally at the Academy of American Ballet and Professional Ballet School while attending summer courses at Pacific Northwest Ballet and San Francisco Ballet. Katie attended the University of Oklahoma, earning a B.F.A. in ballet performance and a minor in professional writing. Upon graduation, Katie joined Kansas City Ballet’s second company as a trainee for two seasons and performed with the company in George Balanchine’s Serenade, Lila York’s Celts, Devon Carney’s The Nutcracker, Michael Pink’s Dracula, and Septime Webre’s The Wizard of Oz.

Katie's favorite recent performances with Madison Ballet include the first variation in Petipa's Paquita Suite, Ja' Malik's Re/Composed, Doll in Sarah Schuman's The Nutcracker, and the soloist in Marika Brussel's Fury and Forgiveness. Others include Devon Carney's Sugar Plum Grand Pas excerpt from The Nutcracker, Parrish Maynard's Vectors, 2nd Violin in Balanchine's Concerto Barocco, the Bride in Nilas Martins' Les Noces, and the First Duet in Michael Bearden’s Simpatico. This will be Katie's second season with Madison Ballet.
