As a volunteer, you bring our productions to life

Each year, hundreds of volunteers help run the show at Madison Ballet – from backstage to front of house, in our offices, or within the community. With the contributions of others, Madison Ballet provides high-caliber programming, as well as a rewarding, behind-the-curtain look at the brilliance of ballet.

There’s a way for every community member to get involved.

Here’s how you can help

Whether you have 10 minutes or 10 hours to contribute, there are many ways you can help us provide access to the ballet, as well as support the development and benefit of our dancers. Volunteers looking for more long-term ways to support the Madison Ballet can apply to join our Board of Directors or serve as Community Partners.

For questions and more information, please contact hello@madisonballet.org.

Back of House

Backstage during performances, volunteers can assist in costume care by cleaning/sewing costumes as needed, or as an escort or chaperone for our youngest cast members in the dressing rooms, ensuring they have a safe and magical experience.

Front of House

In the lobby before and during performances, volunteers can assist with concessions or serve as ushers, photo attendants, or magic ambassadors in our lobby, welcoming guests as they settle in for the show.
