Chaz Meszaros

Chaz is a Madison native and started his professional ballet training with Madison Ballet at age 15 before leaving to continue his training at The School of Ballet Chicago with the artistic staff of Patricia Blair and Daniel Duell. Chaz attended the School of American Ballet summer program in New York City in 2004 and was guided to join the Miami City Ballet School for the following season. Under the instruction of Geta Constantinescu and Truman Finney Chaz learned the importance of classical technique combined with the artistic style of the great George Balanchine. After only one year with the Miami City Ballet School Chaz was offered a contract with the company and began dancing under the direction of Edward Villella. He was fortunate enough to have performed numerous works ranging from classical ballets like Don Quixote and Aurora’s Wedding to neo classical and modern pieces including Balanchine’s Stravinsky Violin Concerto and Paul Taylor’s Mercuric Tidings. Chaz’s fondest memories with Miami City Ballet were performing on the New York City Center Stage and in Los Angeles while on tour.
