Elizabeth Newberry
Madison, WI
Elizabeth Newberry’s dance journey began at the tender age of 3 at the Madison Professional Dance Center. Her passion for dance quickly flourished, and by the age of 10, she was traveling across the country to attend prestigious dance intensives such as Joffrey Ballet and River North Dance Chicago. At 13, Elizabeth expanded her horizons by navigating the commercial dance scene in Los Angeles, where she had the privilege of training with top industry instructors, including Brian Friedman and Dana Alexa.
Elizabeth’s talent and dedication led her to perform at WE Day, a youth empowerment event created by Marc and Craig Kielburger. As part of the talent crew, she had the remarkable opportunity to perform for thousands alongside stars like Ciara and Paula Abdul.
In 2017, Elizabeth began her teaching career at her home studio, Madison Professional Dance Center, working with children aged three to five. This experience ignited her passion for empowering young dancers to express themselves through the art of dance. Teaching has not only deepened her love for dance but also enriched her personal growth. Over the past seven years, Elizabeth has honed her skills as a dance teacher, focusing on instilling the values of hard work, dedication, and positivity in her students of all ages and abilities.
Currently, Elizabeth is a faculty member at Madison Professional Dance Center, where she teaches various styles, including Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, and Lyrical, to students ranging from 18 months to adults. She is excited to begin her journey with Madison Ballet, eager to share her passion and knowledge with the community. Elizabeth’s commitment to dance and teaching continues to inspire and uplift those around her.
